I was in high school when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. When caring for her, I found my passion for nutrition and helping others. That’s when I realized the food we put into our bodies can help or hinder us. In 2010, I got the opportunity to be the lead chef in an Alzheimer’s care home. Through training and one on one care, I learned firsthand what was needed in the community. Having my daughter 13 weeks early, I had yet another challenging diet to learn. I proudly helped open Jill’s House as the founding Culinary Director & took on all thing’s nutrition related. Opening the Intergenerational preschool was challenging and rewarding, at the same time. As my role has slowly changed into the Hospitality Specialist, I still get the pleasure to do what I love in the kitchen and still give the charming feel of “home” throughout the house.
