20 years ago, I found a passion for those living with dementia while working in long term care. Since that time I have been privileged to educate as well as learn from those I’ve met. When my father was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2006 at the age of 60, my life was changed forever. Over the next six years, I learned first-hand the challenges of navigating the health care system especially as it relates to dementia care. I also learned how important it is that both the individual living with dementia and their family receive the support and encouragement they need. This is what I and my team at Jill’s House hope to bring to those we meet.
“I love to see the connections that our staff have with our residents. We are truly blessed.”
